From July 28-30, Goucher's MAAA program will celebration 25 years with their event "Innovation in the Arts: The Future of Arts Administration."
This semester, the low-residency programs have a number of exciting opportunities for their graduate students. Events include a rare opportunity to help direct National Park Service guidance, the celebration of a program’s silver jubilee, and a chance to work directly with curators at the Smithsonian throughout Washington, DC.
The program aims to develop leaders prepared to collaborate across disciplines to address the complex ecological and societal aspects of environmental challenges, creating the foundation to realize a healthy planet and healthy communities now and for generations to come.
Skillman has been involved with the society since 1978 and will serve as the organization's president from 2024 to 2025.
The program combines natural and social sciences courses into a cohesive framework, training students to assess environmental threats, mitigate those threats, and communicate the effectiveness of those strategies to decision-makers and communities.
